Baylor BUV

Baylor BUV - Basic Utility Vehicle - is a humanitarian student organization that is passionate about creating vehicles for a purpose. The BUV is a simple, durable,  light-weight, and low-cost vehicle designed for rugged landscapes and heavy payloads to facilitate communal transportation, economic growth, and hope for the future.

Seth Emig, BSME '18, was the president of Baylor BUV and a senior engineering student when he went to Uganda to build a BUV. He said it was a dream come true to build a BUV with and for the people in Uganda.

“To actually see [the BUV] being finished in Uganda was incredible. I’m very personally attached to this project and to this club because there’s such a good mission with it,” Emig said.

This kind of experience is why we believe in supporting student organizations like BUV. The video above shows the team that went to Uganda in 2018. Since then, another team went to Uganda in 2019 and plan to go in 2020. Please continue to support this incredible experience for our students and the students in Uganda.
