University Libraries

Who We Are

The University Libraries are the academic life center of the university. From unique special collections to essential online databases and study spaces available 24/7, the Libraries provide crucial support for academic endeavors of all stripes. Faculty, undergraduate students, graduate students and visiting scholars alike rely on the Libraries to help them achieve scholarly success.

Why We Need Your Support

The Libraries support teaching and research on campus by providing resources in support of scholars from every discipline on campus. Because no one “graduates from the library,” we do not have the kind of built-in alumni pool that other entities on campus enjoy. However, because everyone benefits from the use of the libraries and their resources, we believe a gift to the libraries is the single best way to support every scholarly activity on a campus of more than 17,000 students plus hundreds of faculty, staff and visiting scholars.

How Your Gift Will Help

Your gift to the Dean’s Excellence fund supports ongoing initiatives that benefit the entire Baylor campus community, including:

  • Updating seating in Moody and Jones Libraries
  • Purchasing mobile white boards for use in active learning spaces
  • Updating students research spaces in Jones Library (1st floor)
  • Provide $1,000 stipends for graduate students to enroll in the summer Data Research Fellowship Program
