The Charles “Court” Franklin Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund in Mechanical Engineering was established in 2012 by friends of Charles “Court” Franklin in his memory. Court Franklin graduated posthumously from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree in 2007. While attending Baylor University, Court was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Chaplain and member of Beta Theta Pi Social Fraternity, and the Dean’s List.
Court completed his internship with TAC Engineering Solutions of Dallas in the summer of 2007 and had accepted a permanent position with the firm’s Austin office to commence in July following his graduation from Baylor. Court Franklin graduated from Ruidoso High School where he played varsity football, was on the wrestling team and the track team. He was an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, First Baptist Church Youth Ministries, National Honor Society, and Future Farmers of America.
This endowed scholarship fund provides assistance to Junior or Senior students attending Baylor University, Waco, Texas, who are enrolled in the School of Engineering and Computer Science and pursuing a major in mechanical engineering.
