Baylor Aero is a student-led organization that provides students with an accelerated hands-on experience in mechanical and aerospace engineering. The club competes annually in the intercollegiate SAE Aero Design competition, in which students gain an understanding of the aviation sciences and RC electronics through the construction of model aircraft.
The reason we are fundraising is to provide for this year’s SAE Aero Design competition. The funds will go towards providing lab equipment and building materials for our plane, such as balsa wood, RC electronics, and proper tools. Funds will also go towards the travel cost to the competition, providing for gas and hotels.
