AREAS OF IMPACT

THE PAUL AND VIRGINIA CHENG INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ENDOWMENT

The Paul and Virginia Cheng International Student Endowment was created by a former Baylor student in honor of his parents who were international students in the U.S. and had a wonderful experience with local families and friends while pursuing their studies.  The fund is designed to help current and future international students to have a home away from home while at Baylor University.

The fund shall be used to support Baylor’s international students through the Global Friendship Program as well as related programs necessary to help international students adjust to life in the U.S. and make connections to friends at Baylor and in Waco. Giving to The Paul and Virginia Cheng International Student Endowment will contribute towards connecting international students with local families as well as with current Baylor students both domestic and international, helping to truly spread Baylor’s Green & Gold afar!

GLENNIS MCCRARY GOODRICH SCHOLARSHIP FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

With this program, we honor the memory of Glennis McCrary Goodrich, who graduated from Baylor magna cum laude in 1929. This scholarship is awarded every term to Baylor students who are selected competitively based on financial need, academic merit, and community involvement. The goal of this scholarship is to encourage international student mobility and collaborative global partnerships as an extension of Baylor’s mission for worldwide leadership and service. Providing this scholarship allows more students to make their study abroad aspirations a reality!

  • $300 will cover a student's study abroad office fees.
  • $1000 will cover a student’s airfare or their deposit on a trip
