SUPPORT PRIORITIES OF THE COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCES ON BAYLOR GIVING DAY
The College of Arts & Sciences is Baylor University's largest academic division, consisting of 25 academic departments and seven academic centers & institutes. The more than 5,000 courses taught in the College provide the largest portion of Baylor's nationally recognized core curriculum, the foundation upon which every student's educational experience is built.
In pursuing new knowledge, faculty members create a community of learning that encourages students to join in the discovery and application of knowledge. Many of these valuable learning opportunities take place outside the classroom and allow students to receive numerous offers to pursue hands-on internships, national & international scholarships, and study abroad.
The College of Arts & Sciences is under the experienced leadership of its dean, Dr. Lee C. Nordt, and seven associate deans who have identified the following as priorities:

The greatest way our Baylor Family can support our deserving students is through scholarships that offer financial assistance to continue their pursuit of a Baylor education.
COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCES EXCELLENCE FUNDS
Gifts help us remain an R1, Top Fulbright-producing university and keep us on the cutting edge by providing the latest lab equipment, research materials, relevant technology, hands-on opportunities, and stipends for students to attend prestigious conferences. It also provides support for faculty teaching and research goals that require travel and conference or workshop attendance.
OFFICE OF ENGAGED LEARNING EXCELLENCE FUND
The Office of Engaged Learning (OEL) provides learning opportunities as a nexus between the classroom and career paths. The OEL helps students take part in academic discovery through domestic and global RESEARCH, engage across cultures through STUDY ABROAD, address complex social challenges through community ENGAGEMENT, and apply their emerging expertise through INTERNSHIPS and professional PRACTICE. These experiential learning opportunities have significantly contributed to Baylor being designated as a Top Producer of Fulbright Awards for U.S. Students by the U.S. State Department.
COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCES SPECIALTY FUNDS & GROUPS
Specialty funds allow the College to pursue academic chairs and research, while unique programs allow students to embrace their intellectual curiosities and combine their majors with practical experience.
