SUPPORT PRIORITIES OF THE HONORS COLLEGE ON BAYLOR GIVING DAY
The Honors College brings together four innovative interdisciplinary undergraduate programs — the Honors Program, University Scholars, Baylor Interdisciplinary Core, and Great Texts.
AREAS OF SUPPORT
HONORS RESIDENTIAL COLLEGE (HRC) RENOVATION
A Give Light campaign priority, the HRC renovation is comprehensively updating rooms for students and creating new spaces for the College at the historic heart of campus. The renovation supports the integration of faith and learning, scholarship and teaching, and knowledge and service through world-class residential learning facilities.
HONORS COLLEGE EXCELLENCE FUND
Gifts to this fund enable students’ experiences in mission trips, research opportunities, and summer internships. The funds support students’ interactions with distinguished visiting scholars and public intellectuals and provide faculty development programs.
DR. ALDEN SMITH ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Celebrating Dr. Alden Smith’s approaching retirement, gifts to his named scholarship will support Honors College students enrolled in the University Scholars Program. Students in this program are encouraged to engage in the realm of Classics.
TOMMYE LOU DAVIS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Celebrating Honors College students, Tommye Lou Davis' scholarship affords students the opportunity to pursue a degree in the Classics. Students in this program explore timeless material with both depth and breadth and are surrounded by a close knit community of high achieving learners.
