The Baylor Line

SUPPORT THE BAYLOR LINE ON BAYLOR GIVING DAY

Established in 1970, Baylor University’s student body carries on the tradition of running the Line at every home football game. New students join together at the south end of McLane Stadium, donning yellow football jerseys with their graduation year and running, as one, across the field to form a welcoming tunnel for the Baylor Bear Football team. These students represent That Good Old Baylor Line:  the legacy of generations of alumni who stretch backward and forward, carrying on the traditions we hold so dear at Baylor.

Traditionally, students receive their line jerseys at Line Camp, an extended Orientation experience designed specifically for new students to provide them with a welcoming environment to experience Baylor while building relationships.

This year we ask you to carry on these traditions by giving to one of these two areas:

The Baylor Line Camp Scholarship Fund

Gifts help provide the opportunity for an incoming student to attend Line Camp who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford this experience. This 5-day program is combined with Orientation and offers students the chance to connect with the rich history and tradition of Baylor while forging new friendships and discovering just how many ways their Baylor story can go.

The Baylor Line Cooling Area Through the Student Involvement Excellence Fund

Gifts will support a comprehensive and essential initiative to increase hydration and cooling mechanisms for the Baylor Line. The project includes the addition of cooling misters, fans, and increased water sources to ensure our first-year and transfer students running the Line are best equipped and energized to cheer on our football team to victory each and every home game...rain or shine!
