SUPPORT CAMPUS RECREATION ON BAYLOR GIVING DAY
With the upgrade of the Backyard of the SLC the usage has exploded. Intramural Sand Volleyball traditionally has over 1200 students playing on over 250 teams. During the summer, the newly created Rec Camp has 8 weeks of summer day camp for over 120 children of Baylor faculty and staff. With the recent addition of pickleball courts, sand volleyball edging, and a putting green, the Backyard is quickly becoming a meeting place for healthy activity for all ages. This spring, the goal is to add two shade structures that would provide a bit of relief from the hot summer sun. Each structure costs approximately $30,000.
