SUPPORT PRIORITIES OF THE FOSTER SUCCESS CENTER ON BAYLOR GIVING DAY
The Paul L. Foster Success Center (PLFSC) maximizes opportunities for student success for all students. We empower students to strive toward academic excellence and exploration of calling while discovering and fulfilling their personal gifts, goals, and aspirations.
AREAS OF SUPPORT
PAUL F. FOSTER SUCCESS CENTER (MAJORS FAIR EQUIPMENT AND MAJOR EXPLORATION SOFTWARE)
The Majors Fair, connects Baylor students with faculty from as many majors as possible in one space. In addition to this event a software solution called My Majors considers their interests, academic aptitude, prior academic experience, and how those might be translated to a list of potential majors.
PAUL F. FOSTER SUCCESS CENTER (ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES)
OALA has seen a marked increase in the number of students requesting assistive equipment, devices, or software. Our hope is to stay abreast of new technology and provide students with the best possible access to achieve their academic goals.
PAUL F. FOSTER SUCCESS CENTER (LATINO/LATINX STUDENT SUCCESS INITIATIVE)
As Baylor’s Hispanic student population continues to grow, the Success Center is seeking assistance in providing additional resources to equip our Latino/ Latinx students with the skills, information, and support systems needed to successfully navigate student services, improve academic performance, and graduate from college.
NANCY AND DAN CHAPMAN EXCELLENCE FUND FOR FIRST IN LINE
The First In Line Program provides opportunity for community and support resources for over 2,200 undergraduate students who are the first in their families to go to college.
