The School of Music enjoys a strong and enduring reputation in the education of musicians in our undergraduate and graduate programs by maintaining a rich tradition of instruction in musicology, theory, composition, education, pedagogy, church music, and performance studies.
Baylor’s distinctive mission allows the School of Music to articulate and celebrate Christian values in a way that is increasingly rare in the larger secular world of higher education. Our expertise and human resources allow the School to reach out locally and globally, in service and others, in unique ways that are not possible in any other academic discipline.
The School of Music has more than 3,500 alumni worldwide teaching and performing as musicians and engaged in a broad range of disciplines. This base of alumni provides a tremendous source of wisdom and expertise that can be engaged in support of our goals.

Key priorities for this year include providing students with exceptional performing and academic experiences here at Baylor, across the State of Texas, and at notable national conferences and venues. Gifts to the excellence fund provide flexibility to meet the greatest needs of the School of Music, including support for health and wellness and student success initiatives.
BAYLOR MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The greatest support our Baylor Family can provide our students is created through scholarships. Gifts to scholarships provide direct support for our students as they pursue their academic goals, removing financial obstacles and creating opportunities for success.
GOLDEN WAVE CLUB EXCELLENCE FUND
For more than 100 years, the Baylor University Golden Wave Band has stirred the hearts of Baylor fans with its powerful music and creative marching drills. Your contributions help ensure that the band can represent the Baylor spirit to the best of its ability.
