SUPPORT PRIORITIES OF THE SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK ON BAYLOR GIVING DAY
The Diana R. Garland School of Social Work holds a reputation for excellence in social work higher education, producing ethically-minded social workers in a Christian context for worldwide service and leadership. Our alumni have bolstered this reputation through careers that influence policy and impact lives every day.
Over more than 50 years, social work education at Baylor University has embodied the core values of the profession: service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence. This legacy is only possible because of the support of alumni, parents, and friends.
AREAS OF IMPACT
THE KRONZER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN SOCIAL WORK
Gifts to this scholarship provide direct support for Garland School students who have demonstrated a commitment to increasing awareness around cultural humility and social diversity.
DIANA R. GARLAND SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK EXCELLENCE FUND
Gifts to this fund help the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work provide hands-on opportunities for students to practice social work, as well as technology updates, classroom equipment, conference attendance, and travel and research materials.
MENTAL HEALTH ENDOWED FUND IN SOCIAL WORK
Almost 20% of Americans experience mental illness annually, with increased rates among youth and young adults. Far too many still cannot access treatment they need, in part, because of a mental health workforce shortage. This fund supports students who want to work in this field and helps faculty participate in research partnerships with distinguished institutions and health providers to improve access to care.
