SUPPORT THE SENIOR CLASS GIFT ON BAYLOR GIVING DAY
For over a century, Student Government in coordination with the graduating senior class has bestowed upon the University a gift to mark their time and contributions to Baylor University. Whether it’s a concrete bench in the Quad from the class of 1906, the restoration of the historic sign that marked the entry to Carroll Field, or a new walkway in Traditions Plaza, the Senior Class Gift is one of the most meaningful and lasting contributions of our graduates.
Since 1917, our live bear mascots have encapsulated the spirit of Baylor University. They have linked Baylor’s past, present, and future with more than 250,000 annual visitors to the Bill and Eva Williams Bear Habitat. With the impact of the Bear Program on Baylor’s campus and beyond, the 2023 senior class gift celebrates one of Baylor’s most cherished traditions.
Joy and Lady are the first of our bears to have lived their entire lives on campus, having been with us for over 20 years! With the passing of our beloved bear Joy at the beginning of July 2022 and the upcoming retirement of Lady, the 2023 senior class gift will honor their legacy through a commemorative statue of Joy and Lady, which will be located at the Bear Habitat.
