In 1977, Baylor became one of the first universities in the world to create a formal academic program in entrepreneurial studies. Forty years later, the Baylor Department of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation encompasses 25 full-time faculty and staff. Each year hundreds of students pursue formal Entrepreneurship degree programs at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral level.
The breadth and depth of Baylor Entrepreneurship’s research and teaching capabilities has expanded dramatically throughout the years. What has not changed, however, is the drive to seek better ways to accomplish our two core objectives:
- To foster the entrepreneurial spirit in all our students by providing the skills needed to create profitable companies.
- The belief that entrepreneurs are most inspired by serving a higher purpose, not simply by pursuing more money.
Your gift to the Baylor Entrepreneurship department affirms those two objectives and supports scholarships, teaching and research within the department. Thank you for making a gift today during Baylor Giving Day.
