School of Engineering and Computer Science

Who We Are

Our focus in the School of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) is to prepare graduates for professional practice and responsible leadership in engineering or computer science industries with a Christian worldview.

Why We Need Your Support

We need your support to build our programs and provide the experiences students need to build leadership skills, develop professionally, and be prepared for the workforce with a global perspective.

The School of Engineering and Computer Science is growing quickly due to the STEM job market. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in computer occupations is projected to increase by 12.5 percent from 2014 to 2024, and the group projected to add the second largest number of new jobs from 2014 to 2024 is engineering occupations, with 65,000 new jobs.

When you make a gift using the link at the top of this page, your gift can help:

Engineering Capstone (also known as Senior Design)
Your contributions enable our students to gain experience leading, working with a team, and designing a solution to fit the clients’ needs. Through these projects, we are preparing innovators for worldwide impact. See Emme’s video to see what our students have done in the past.

Cyber Security program
This year, our student Cyber Security team placed 4th in the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition! Funding this program will help build a Cyber Security academic option for our computer science students. Read more about the competition experience this year.

Incoming Freshman Scholarships
To attract high-ability students and be competitive with other universities recruiting these students, we need to build our scholarship funds for incoming freshmen. See Kayla's video about the impact scholarships make on a student's life.

Student Organization Funds
Student organizations are where students gain leadership skills and build community. These organizations allow our students to grow professionally, attend conferences and begin building a network. Our students are able to explore, create and build.  Watch this video on a recent Engineers with a Mission trip to Haiti.
