Who We Are
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) is dedicated to educating men and women for worldwide leadership and service in the areas of Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Deaf Education by integrating academic excellence, clinical experiences, and service to the community.
We teach undergraduate and graduate students state-of-the-art concepts and techniques in Communication Sciences & Disorders and help them attain their professional goals in a caring, Christian environment. Our students learn how to conduct clinically-relevant research and to provide evidence-based speech, language, and hearing services to the community.
Why We Need Your Support
In the state of Texas and across the nation, there are shortages of speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and deaf educators. Our undergraduate and graduate programs have been expanding each year to address these unmet needs. As our student numbers grow, our scholarship funds remain limited for deserving undergraduate and graduate students. Also, as our student numbers grow, we can serve more individuals in the community creating greater demands in our clinic for supplies and greater demands for clinic scholarships for those in the community.
