Management Information Systems

The Department of Information Systems is dedicated to educating students and advancing the fields of Information Systems, Quantitative Business Analysis, and Business Communications. Our 31 faculty are active researchers and excel at teaching in their area of expertise. We strive to produce highly qualified graduates who will lead in their chosen careers, guided by Christian principles and ethical values.

Your gift during Baylor’s Giving Day can help in one of these areas:

  • Undergraduate scholarship funds help reduce the financial burden that students face while here at Baylor, and help reduce their overall student debt load once they have graduated.
  • Graduate student travel and research funds help our masters and PhD students undertake original research that is designed to help address business needs. This research requires funds for software, data collection, transcription, and analysis. Once completed, students then travel to national and international conferences to present their research.
  • Our Departmental excellence fund helps pay for expenses that are not covered within our annual budget. The MIS department has recently used our Excellence Fund to pay for installation of servers and software to help support our business analytics area, student recruitment, graduate student travel to conferences, and our department’s colloquium series of speakers.
