The Department of Accounting & Business Law is an AACSB accredited institution dedicated to educating students and advancing our disciplines for the benefit of society. We are a group that is committed to research and providing a comprehensive education, guided by Christian Values, that equips students for leadership and service.
We are responsible for advancing the field of accounting through academic, professional, and educational research activities and writing. Furthermore, roughly 550 students are seeking a degree(s) in accounting at Baylor, and we find it necessary to transform these individuals into business professionals through technical accounting knowledge as well as career and professional developmental events, programming, and vocational mission opportunities. There are many initiatives led by our department, including but not limited to, student mission trips locally and globally (Africa and Europe), domestic professional development trips (NYC and DC), and corporate sponsored networking workshops and activities. Successfully fulfilling our mission and serving our students continues to be possible with your support!
