The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is pleased to take part in Baylor’s Giving Day. We are home to 800 undergraduate majors, 60 doctoral students, 24 full-time faculty, and four full-time staff members. We offer a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. We offer doctoral degrees in Psychology (Ph.D.), with tracks in Behavioral Neuroscience, Social Psychology, and General Experimental Psychology, and an APA-Accredited Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.).
Baylor Psychology & Neuroscience faculty direct 16 different labs. Your gifts to the Psychology & Neuroscience Excellence Fund will be used to support graduate and undergraduate student involvement in research, through:
- Travel Awards for graduate students, to allow them to present their findings at national conferences.
- Small equipment grants to students, to allow them to fund unique and innovative projects.
- Summer research stipends for undergraduate students to work full-time in a faculty member’s lab, a college-wide program started two years ago to great success. Four Baylor Psychology & Neuroscience majors were supported through this program in 2018 alone.
We also invite any alumni considering a gift to contact Dr. Charles Weaver, chair of the department (Charles_weaver@baylor.edu, or 254-710-2961). Dr. Weaver would be delighted to arrange times for you to tour our facilities in the Baylor Sciences Building and the Baylor Tower at 8th and Washington and to meet with faculty and students.
