Support The Reinvention of Moody Memorial Library's First Floor

The University Libraries seek to transform a significant portion of Moody Memorial Library's first floor into a vibrant, inclusive, and cutting-edge area for individual, small group, and seminar-style instruction aimed at supporting the university’s goal of creating a “transformative undergraduate education” for our students.

Completing this project will make great strides toward the Libraries’ goal of increasing overall space for student use from the current level of a maximum of 9% of our student body to our target of 15% and is key to our mission of reclaiming the libraries for students, not materials.

Your gift will support our ability to purchase and install new furniture solutions, collaborative technology, and focused spaces design to support student success.

Potential Moody 1 Layouts

The layouts below were provided by four potential vendors for furniture and fixtures for the Moody 1 space. Our options include purchasing a suite of solutions from a single vendor or approaching the space as a chance to "mix and match" solutions for the best utilization of space, student need, and user feedback.

A Reimagined Moody 1, By The Numbers

As we gather data on the best way to revitalize Moody's first floor, we're exploring options for seating, tables, and study spaces that fit our students' needs. Estimated costs of these solutions - based on similar upgrades to Moody Memorial Library and Jesse H. Jones Library over the past several years - are included below.

We are grateful for the support of our donors as we work to create the kind of learning environment our students desire.

Your gift today will materially impact the quality of our students' academic experience because a gift to the Libraries truly reaches every Baylor student!
