Recently retired, professor, Dr. J. William Petty, has been unrelenting in his contribution and dedication to leading, mentoring and educating students as they grow in the academic and professional realms of finance and entrepreneurship. A common thread in every endeavor undertaken by Dr. Petty is his inexorable pursuit to go above and beyond what most educators think is necessary. He embodies the characteristics of an ideal educator in that he cares greatly for his students and does everything he can to help them succeed.
This scholarship will bless future business students by defraying the costs of a distinctive Baylor business education, and serve as a lasting legacy of his leadership in the business school.
