The Campus Kitchen at Baylor University is an emerging leader in community service for students and a resourceful anti-hunger program. Working in dedicated groups, Baylor students prepare meals from scratch, including vegetables grown in The Campus Kitchen Community Garden. These meals are delivered to organizations in the community, including the Family Abuse Center, The Mission Waco Youth Center, and The Cove. Student volunteers pick up unserved food from Baylor's on-campus dining halls and deliver it to The Salvation Army Men's Center on a daily basis. Additionally, other volunteers pick up all of Panera Bread's unsold bread and pastries at the end of each day and distribute this bread to local agencies. With your gift, you will be supporting Baylor students as they follow Christ's example in helping those in need receive much-needed, nourishing meals.
