Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) supports Hispanic and underrepresented students in STEM through academic, professional, and community-focused initiatives. Our chapter also partners closely with the Office of Multicultural Affairs to promote diversity, inclusion, and leadership among underrepresented students in STEM. Together, we work to create opportunities that support academic success, professional growth, and community engagement for Hispanic and other minority students pursuing careers in engineering, computer science, and related fields.
We’re raising funds to send nine students and one faculty advisor to the SHPE National Convention, where attendees will participate in workshops, network with employers, and interview for career opportunities. This convention is a pivotal opportunity for our members to grow professionally, connect with top STEM employers, and represent Baylor on a national stage.
While we have received partial support from our department and campus partners, we are seeking additional funding to ensure that every student can attend the convention without financial hardship. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to making this experience possible!
