The diversity of our people makes us strong. In line with this mission, we seek to embody Christ’s teachings of love and inclusivity across boundaries of racial, ethnic, gender, socio-economic, religious, and other expressions of human difference. 

In addition to the 40 academic/professional, religious, Greek, and special interest multicultural organizations, Baylor is home to numerous programs and initiatives that support students and alumni in developing a sense of belonging. Some of these programs and initiatives are:

• Trailblazers Scholars Program - Baylor awards several scholarships to incoming freshmen, as well as upperclassmen, who demonstrate commitment to advancing racial equality and diversity.

• Multicultural Affairs Excellence Fund - supports the Department of Multicultural Affairs to aid students on their journey to self-awareness and in learning about the many cultures represented on campus.

• Baylor Black Alumni & Baylor Alumni Latino Alliances - Baylor alumni have several affinity groups, many of which focus on and celebrate ethnicity and cultural diversity. Scholarships are offered to students as a way to invest in future generations and establish the ongoing legacy of the various affinity groups. 

• Paul L. Foster Success Center Excellence Fund - Student Opportunity & Achievement Resources (SOAR) within the Paul L. Foster Success Center provides resources and programming aimed at supporting Baylor’s diverse student population. SOAR is dedicated to offering the research and scholarly opportunities and financial knowledge, skills, and support systems necessary for students to ensure their educational success at all levels.
