Baylor Line Camp is an extended summer orientation experience designed to prepare new students for the transition to Baylor where they forge life-long friendships, connect with the rich history and tradition of their new campus home, and explore how Baylor’s distinct Christian mission will animate their stories. Currently, about 2,100 students attend Baylor Line Camp each summer and routinely consider it one of their most formative Baylor experiences.
Many students are unable to attend Line Camp due to financial constraints. A gift of $125 provides a financial award for a student who may not have the funds to attend Baylor Line Camp, a transformational on-campus experience. The cost of Baylor Line Camp is much larger but the University chooses to substantially subsidize the cost to make it more affordable for new students to attend. Through these financial awards, we hope to provide 80 students with the opportunity to attend Baylor Line Camp at no charge with preference given to students with demonstrated financial need. We hope that you will even consider a $10 per month gift to make this opportunity possible!
Baylor University's New Student Programs creates shared experiences that foster belonging and excitement for new students (both first-year and transfer students) and that inspire them to take ownership of their unique Baylor story. These new student experiences include Orientation, Baylor Line Camp, Welcome Week, and Welcome Weekend. You can learn more about all of these programs at www.baylor.edu/nsp.
