Baylor University's all new Student Care & Wellness Fund (SCWF) was first envisioned by Student Government in 2017. The purpose of SCWF is to provide Baylor University students with funding during emergency situations they could not otherwise afford to pay for.
The fund could cover expenses such as Uber rides to the doctor, flights home in the event of a sudden loss of family member, rent if a roommate suddenly moves out, among other needs.
Imagine if you had a financial emergency that you did not have the money to pay for. Thanks to your fellow Baylor students, the SCWF has your back - you can submit a confidential application and, once approved, receive funding quickly. This is your chance to give back to the Baylor family and financially support your friends and peers when they need your help the most.
Funding is awarded by a committee made up of students and advised by a full-time Baylor employee in Student Life. All names and personally identifying information are redacted by the staff member prior to the student committee receiving information to protect applicant's confidentiality.
We have a goal to reach $2,500 by the end of May so funds can be awarded to students when school starts in August.
Please consider making a gift in any amount. Together, your gift will combine with those of our peers to reach our goal so we can help our fellow Baylor students.
Even a gift of $5 matters! Your $5, combined with other students' $5 gifts, makes this fund grow exponentially to make a major impact on a fellow student.
