We're transforming how our community connects with history, science, and culture through our Reigniting Curiosity campaign, a $16 million eddy to reimagine the Mayborn's natural science and cultural history wing. Phase one - Cultural Crossroads: People and Central Texas - opens in Spring 2026! This exhibit will explore the histories of Indigenous communities, Tejanos, European Immigrants, and Enslaved People, whose legacies continue to shape our world today.
Our new exhibits will bring Central Texas' rich ecological and cultural history to life - featuring a life-size Acrocanthosauraus, a Texas Time Tunnel and a behind-the-scenes Paleop lab for fossil prep and research.
