On August 29, 2017, Hurricane Harvey made landfall over the coast of Texas including Corpus Christi and the greater Houston area. As much of Baylor's faculty, staff and students were impacted by the storm, we as a community continue to seek ways to be the hands and feet of Christ to those recovering and rebuilding.
Change the World in a Day is an annual event where Baylor Chapel students raise money for a charitable cause. This year, Baylor students are raising money to support mission trips to aid in the ongoing rebuilding efforts in Rockport following Hurricane Harvey.
On January 24, Penny Moore, a Baylor mom and a hurricane relief project coordinator did a Q&A with Chaplain Ryan Richardson about the recovery and rebuilding efforts. During this special chapel service, students made gifts to support these ongoing efforts.
